It is always helpful to your child if you practice things with them at home. Have your child count how many spoons are on the table at dinner or choose what color of clothing s/he wants to wear on a certain day to school. Have him/her practice writing his/her name on different types of surfaces such as a white board or tablet. Have magnetic letters handy where you are and have your child practice saying the ABC's or putting them in ABC order. Have your child name the letters. Have her practice cutting by cutting out coupons for you. Play ABC or number games in the car. It doesn't have to be expensive and it's fun! (Your child won't even know s/he is learning!)
